Definitions and usage

Fields can be left blank.

Field	Definition	Formatting ok?	further description and standardization
icon	Icon at top of infobox	No	image file name; no brackets. Typically flag or other image depicting region or church in region.
name	page name	Yes	The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in [State Name]
image	header image	No	image file name; no brackets. Typically an image that represents the church in the state. This could be a temple, meetinghouse, or other church building, individuals in some cases, or event that characterizes the LDS Church in the state.
imagesize	Size of image	No	200px is default. Value inputted will override the default.
caption	image caption	Yes	Description of the image
area	Area (LDS Church) where the state is primarily located	Yes	[[Area (LDS Church)#North America Central|{{abbr|NA|North America}} Central]] Areas doesn't necessarily follow state boundaries. For states located in multiple areas, the area with the most congregations within the state is use.
members	Official Membership (see Membership Defined)	Yes	Member count (Year of count) reference < ref> can be used (see example). Use applicable comma separators for membership count. There is no census field since the US Census Bureau doesn't ask for religion/denomination in its survey.
stakes	number of stakes	No	Do not use comma separator. This is the number of stakes with a stake center within the state. This does not include stakes that reach into the state that has its stake center outside the state.
districts	number of districts	No	Do not use comma separator. This is the number of districts with a district center within the state. This does not include districts that reach into the state that has its district center offices outside the state.
wards	number of wards	No	Do not use comma separator. This is the number of wards that meet within the state.
branches	number of branches	No	Do not use comma separator. This is the number of branches that meet within the state.
missions	number of branches	No	Do not use comma separator. This is the number of missions with its mission headquarters within the state.
o	number of operating temples	No	Do not use comma separator. This is the number of operating temples within the state. "operating" refers to temples that have been dedicated. This includes those that are temporarily closed, but does not include temples that have been destroyed or being operated operated by others.
u	number of temples under construction	No	Do not use comma separator. This is the number of temples under construction within the state. "under construction" refers to the time period between groundbreaking and dedication.
a	number of announced temples	No	Do not use comma separator. This is the number of announced temples within the state. "announced" refers to the time period between announcement and groundbreaking.
fhc	number of church-run family history centers	Yes	This is the number of church-run family history centers within the state. Referencing and formatting is permitted.

Total Congregations

This is the sum of wards and branches in the state. This only displays when both ward and branch fields are greater than zero. This does not include "member groups" which are typically smaller, more temporary, and its data is not well published.

Temples

This lists operating temples, as well as those that have been announced or are currently under construction. The definitions of these three categories are shown in the table above. Conditions of use are as follows:

• If neither the "o", "u", and "a" fields are above zero, then the temple line will not show.
• If only the "o" field (operating temples) is listed above zero, then the output value will simply be a number equal to the "o" field.
• If only the "u" field (temples under construction) is listed above zero, than the output value will be a number equal to the "u" field with the words "under construction" next to it.
• If only the "a" field (announced temples) is listed above zero, than the output value will be a number equal to the "a" field with the word "announced" next to it.
• If multiple "o", "u", or "a" fields are listed above zero, then all fields with values of "o", "u", and/or "a" that are above zero will be listed with their respective label "operating", "under construction", and/or "announced" status. A total will be calculated and shown below the other individual fields. See Example below:
