Parameters

  • name - name, if different from article title
  • image location - main article image (without [[File:]])
  • alt - text alternative for image
  • image name - caption for image
  • radar - image, animated gif, or video of storm radar track (without [[File:]])
  • radaralt - text alternative for radar image
  • radar name - caption for radar image
  • date - date(s) of storm
  • duration - length of the storm (in hours, minutes, or days, depending)
  • durationref - reference for duration
  • track - track length (in miles) <automatically converts to show equivalent in kilometers>
  • trackref - reference for track length
  • wind - strongest measured wind speed (in miles per hour) <automatically converts to show equivalent in kilometers per hour and meters per second>
  • windloc - location of strongest measured wind speed
  • windref - reference for strongest measured wind speed
  • windest - strongest estimated wind speeds (in miles per hour) <automatically converts to show equivalent in kilometers per hour and meters per second>
  • windestloc - location of strongest estimated wind speeds
  • windestref - reference for strongest estimated wind speeds
  • hailref - reference for wind speed and/or location
  • hail - largest reported hailstone(s) (in inches) <automatically converts to show equivalent in centimeters>
  • hailloc - location or largest hailstone
  • hailref - reference for hail size and/or location
  • tornadoes - if any tornadoes, insert number here. Otherwise omit.
  • torloc - If only one tornado, location of tornado
  • torref - reference for tornado numbers and/or location
  • fscale - highest rating for a confirmed tornado (make sure not derecho straight-line damage)
  • ef - set to "yes" to use the Enhanced Fujita scale
  • casualties - number of non-fatal injured individuals or animals
  • casualtiesref - reference for casualties
  • fatalities - number of those killed
  • fatalref - reference for fatalities
  • damage - monetary amount of related damages in USD
  • damageref - reference for damage
  • damagetype - specific types of damage caused by the event
  • dmgtyperef - reference for damagetype
  • areas - affected areas
  • areasref - reference for affected areas
  • worstareas - the hardest-hit or notably-damaged areas of the derecho
  • worstareasref - reference for worst areas
  • series - derecho series if applicable, otherwise omit
