Purpose

The purpose of this template, Sanamahist term, is to display a set of term-specific translations and transliterations from languages culturally or geo-politically or historically associated with Sanamahism. For this template, these languages are Ancient Meitei (as it is the liturgical language of Sanamahism), Modern Meitei, Assamese (for the Sanamahist minority people living in Assam), Bengali (for the Sanamahist minority people living in Bangladesh), Burmese (for the Sanamahist minority people living in Myanmar) and Hindi (for the Sanamahist minority people living in India). Since this template is for the English-language Wikipedia, an English-language translation (if provided) is displayed at the top of the table.

Usage

Blank template

{{Infobox Sanamahist term
| title    =
| en       =
| omp      =
| omp-Latn =
| mni      =
| mni-Latn =
| as       =
| as-Latn  =
| bn       =
| bn-Latn  =
| my       =
| my-Latn  =
| hi       =
| hi-Latn  =
}}

Parameters

Parameters are:

  • title (optional template title) [if not specified, then the "pi" or "omp" parameter is used for the title]
  • en (English translation)
  • omp (Ancient Meitei/Old Manipuri in Latin transliteration) [if "title" and "pi" are both not provided, then this value is the defaulted title]
  • mni (Modern Meitei)
  • as (Assamese)
  • bn (Bengali)
  • my (Burmese)
  • hi (Hindi)
  • fontsize (default=85%)
  • collapsible (default=NULL and thus disabled; set TRUE to enable)

Required parameter: Either "title" or "omp" (Ancient Meitei/Old Manipuri) is a required parameter.

Display order: Above is the actual order in which provided translations are displayed regardless of the order in which the parameters are passed to this template.

Multiword values: Language-specific parameters can be passed multiword strings as demonstrated in the example below for the parameters en (English) and mni (Modern Meitei).

Example 1

The following text on the left is displayed as the template on the right.

{{Infobox Sanamahist term | title = Laikhurembi | en = Laikhurembi | omp = ꯂꯥꯢꯈꯨꯂꯦꯝꯄꯤ | omp-Latn = Laai-khoo-lem-pee | mni = ꯂꯥꯢꯈꯨꯔꯦꯝꯕꯤ | mni-Latn = Laai-khoo-rem-bee | as = লাইখুৰেম্বী | as-Latn = Laai-khoo-rem-bee | bn = লাইখুরেম্বী | bn-Latn = Laai-khoo-rem-bee | my = လိုင်ခရမ်ဘီ | my-Latn = Laai-khoo-rem-bee | hi = लाइखूरेम्बी | hi-Latn = Laai-khoo-rem-bee }}

In this example, no "title" parameter is specified, so the "omp" (Ancient Meitei) parameter is used for the title. In addition, English is the last parameter passed but is the first value displayed in accordance with the enforced display order mentioned above.
