- title
- List the common name of the tournament in English.
- year
- The year in which the tournament was played. Do not include months or other date values. If the tournament is played over two or more calendar years, as occurs with some derbies, please separate the years with an unspaced en-dash: :2009–08 not 2009-08 or 2009 – 08. See also dates below.
- other_titles
- Other names by which the tournament is known including the native language of the tournament host nation.
- image
- Just the image file name, with no [[File:]].
- imagesize
- Image size (include the "px").
- caption
- The caption text to be displayed below the image. If no image is supplied, this parameter will be ignored.
- dates
- If the tournament is over a short period of time, dates should be displayed. Use the appropriate date format for the host nation and separate the range with an unspaced en-dash.
- season
- A link to the respective regular season article
- num_teams
- The number of teams involved in all stages of the tournament
- games
- The number of games played in the tournament that season.
- title game name
- The name of the championship game, linked to its primary article (e.g. [[Super Bowl 50]]). Defaults to "Championship game".
- stadium
- the stadium of the championship game
- location
- the location/city of the championship game
- defending champions
- The name of the team the title holder linked to the team's primary article (e.g. [[New England Patriots]]).
- champions
- The name of the winning team linked in the same way as the defending champions.
- runner-up
- The second-place team linked in the same way as the champions.
- third
- The third-place team linked in the same way as the champions.
- fourth
- The fourth-place team linked in the same way as the champions.
- semifinal1
- semifinal2
- The two losing semifinalists, linked in the same way as the champions, for those tournaments that do not have third place playoffs.
- conf-runner-up1
- conf-runner-up2
- The two conference runners-up, linked in the same way as the champions, for those tournaments that have "conference title games" instead of semifinal matches
- player
- Best player of the tournament. If they have an article, the player should be linked. Per WP:INFOBOXFLAG do not present the player's nationality with a flag unless this is an international tournament and the player is representing that nation.
- player_label
- The name given to the best player of the tournament (e.g. MVP). Defaults to "Best player"
- seasonslistnames
- For creating a chronology, the link to the tournament's main article
- prevseason
- For creating a chronology, the link to the previous season of the tournament. If no article exists, do not link.
- nextseason
- For creating a chronology, the link to the next season of the tournament. If no article exists, do not link.
- extra information
- Any extra information on the tournament, if any.
- updated
- Matchday at which statistics were updated.
