Usage
This is an infobox for an article on a specific figure skating element.

Parameters
| Parameter | Explanation |
|---|---|
| image | Use Image Name.jpg, not [[File:Image name.jpg]] |
| imagesize | The size of the image. Defaults to 220px |
| caption | Caption for the image. |
| element name | Official name for the element. |
| alt name | Legitimate alternative names that are officially used. For example, a legitimate alternate name for the loop jump is the Rittberger jump. |
| scoring abbrev | The scoring abbreviation that appears on the protocols under the ISU Judging System. |
| element type | The type of element. For example, use: [[Figure skating jumps|Jump]] for a jump |
| edges | If an element is defined by being performed on one or more specific edges, list them. |
| take off edge | The take-off edge for jump. |
| landing edge | The landing edge for the jump. Although this may seem redundant, don't assume the reader knows the landing edge. |
| inventor | The inventor of the element. Do not use if there is any doubt about who is credited for inventing it. If this is a case of inventing vs. popularizing, use the following parameter instead. If the element is named for the inventor, use only this parameter. |
| named for | Who the element is named for. If the element is named for the inventor, use only the inventor parameter. |
| disciplines | The discipline(s) that the element is used in. Use this only if the element is in one or two disciplines, not all of them. For example, the death spiral is a pair skating element, and a lift is a pair skating and ice dancing element. |
