{{Infobox University Boat Race}} is used to list at-a-glance comparative information about a particular edition of the annual Oxford versus Cambridge University Boat Race between 1829 and 2014. For races from 2015 onwards, {{Infobox University Boat Races}} should be used as it incorporates both men's and women's races, along with both reserve results.

Usage

The infobox may be added by pasting the template as shown below into an article, typically at the top of an article above the lead section.

Parameters

All parameters are optional.

Parameter Explanation
name The edition of the Boat Race, e.g. 160th Boat Race
winner The winner of the main men's Boat Race i.e. Oxford or Cambridge
margin The winning margin, usually given in lengths or shorter (e.g. feet) if necessary
winning_time The time of the winning boat, given in minutes and seconds
date Date of the race, using {{Start date}} with the df parameter set to y
overall The overall record since the first race was held in 1829, Cambridge wins given first
umpire The umpire for the main men's race and the University he attended
prevseason Link to the previous year's race article
nextseason Link to the next year's race article
reserve_winner The winner of the men's reserve Boat Race i.e. Isis or Goldie
women_winner The winner of the main women's Boat Race i.e. Oxford or Cambridge
