Parameters

name
Name of the skier (need not exactly match page name)
gender
use "m" for males or "f" for females
image
An image of the person. Only the file name is required, such as example.jpg or sample.png. It is not necessary to use File: before the name or to wikilink the image. If no image is available, do not use an image placeholder.
image_size
A size in pixels to display the image, such as 200px (width), x300px (height), or 200x300px (max width and height). Use only when absolutely necessary. If empty or omitted, frameless is used to display the image at the default thumbnail size (normally 220px, but logged in users may change this at Preferences: Appearance).
alt
Alternative text for image, for visually impaired readers (see WP:ALT).
caption
Optional caption to be displayed below the image.
disciplines
events regularly contested by the skier on the World Cup
club
local "home" ski team, if applicable
full_name
The full name of the person, if different than name or birth_name.
birth_name
The birth name of the person, if different than name or full_name.
birth_date
If the person is living, use {{Birth date and age}}, {{Birth-date and age}}, or {{Birth year and age}}. If deceased, use {{Birth date}} or {{Birth-date}}.
birth_place
town/city, state/province, country
death_date
(if applicable) If the date of birth is known, use {{Death date and age}}, {{Death-date and age}}, or {{Death year and age}}. Otherwise, use {{Death date}} or {{Death-date}}.
death_place
(if applicable) town/city, state/province, country
height
The skier's height. Use "X cm", "X m" or "X ft Y in". The infobox will automatically display the appropriate conversion.
| height = 5 ft 10 in → 5 ft 10 in (178 cm)
| height = 180 cm → 180 cm (5 ft 11 in)
| height = 1.80 m → 1.80 m (5 ft 11 in)

Date information was updated (use {{subst:Date}} or {{subst:Date|2=mdy}} for the current date)

Microformat

The HTML markup produced by this template includes an hCard microformat, which makes the person's details parsable by computers, either acting automatically to catalogue articles across Wikipedia or via a browser tool operated by a reader, to (for example) add the subject to an address book or database. For more information about the use of microformats on Wikipedia, please see the microformat project.

Sub-templates

Date-of-birth ("bday") information will only be included in the microformat if {{birth date}}, or {{birth date and age}} are used in the infobox. (Do not use these if the date is before 1583). Be cautious about using these if the person is still living, per WP:DOB.

To include a URL, use {{URL}}.

Please do not remove instances of these sub-templates.
