Parameters
All parameters are optional.
- {{{competition}}} — The commonly-used name of the competition (including sponsorship). If this is omitted, it will be automatically derived from the article title.
- {{{dates}}} — The dates of the first and last matches played in the season, separated by an endash
- {{{winners}}} — Champions
- {{{mlscup}}} — MLS Cup winners. Note that this supersedes the {{{winners}}} field.
- {{{shieldtitle}}} — The name of the title given to the regular season winners if not "Supporters' Shield" (where applicable)
- {{{shield}}} — Supporters' Shield winners (where applicable)
- {{{promoted}}} — promoted (if any)
